Jacob Kjær (1896-1957) was a Danish furniture designer and cabinetmaker, known for his modern interpretations of classical English style. His designs emphasized simplicity and fine craftsmanship. Kjær's leadership roles in design organizations enhanced Denmark's furniture industry. His notable work, the FN Chair, was created for the United Nations Building in New York and is still manufactured in Japan.
