Paul Philp was born in 1941, he studied ceramics at Cardiff College of Art and has been making pottery for forty years
Each work is slowly built by hand allowing it to form a natural and organic shape as if it had happened by natural process, pieces that look as though they have been discovered rather than made
Paul’s ceramic forms are in permanent collections in the Musée des Beaux Arts, Montréal and Musée de Céramique in Sevres France, as well as numerous private collections.
