Don S Shoemaker

Born in 1919, Don Shoemaker, a Nebraska native, became a celebrated furniture designer in Mexico. He founded Señal S.A in the late 1940s, creating modern versions of traditional Mexican furniture, often from precious woods like Cocobolo. His iconic designs, like the Sling Sloucher chair, remain highly regarded. Shoemaker passed away in 1990, and the business ceased to exist after his son's death in the early 2000s.
